Press Release: On October 31 Charitable Foundation Caritas Georgia will Open the Center for Vulnerable Children and Youth in the Village of Eshtia

On 31st of October 2017, at 14:00, Charitable Foundation Caritas Georgia will open the center for local Children and Youth in the village of Eshtia (Samtskhe-Javakheti Region).

Charitable Foundation Caritas Georgia has been serving indigent population of Georgia since 1994.  The mission of the organization is to promote human development and social justice, bring relief to vulnerable and disadvantaged people in accordance with Christian values.

One of the main strategic priorities of Caritas Georgia is to provide the vulnerable children and youth with safe environment, ensure their basic needs and preparation for independent life as well as facilitate the formation of adequate environment and legislative background for improving childcare system in Georgia.

The main goal of the Day Care Center is to create educational opportunities for children and youth in the village of Eshtia. In the Centre, children will have an opportunity to learn Georgian and foreign languages as well as to be involved in dancing, singing, art and computer classes.

The Center has been funded by „Catholic Near East Welfare Association“(CNEWA).

The event will be attended by the representative of „Catholic Near East Welfare Association“ (CNEWA) – Mr. Michael J.L La Civita, the president of Caritas Georgia – Mons. Raphael Minassian, the director of Caritas Georgia – Mrs. Anahit Mkhoyan, Children and Youth Program Manager – Mrs. Nana Kukhalashvili, the representatives of local agencies,  Priests, and UNICEF Georgia.
