In the frame of the project “Animation and Strengthening of Parish Social Ministries in Catholic Communities of Georgia” on June 13-14, 2017 at Caritas Georgia Office was held the Training session on „Community Capacities and Problem Analysis through Participatory Methodologies”.
The Training was conducted by an Expert from Armenia Mr. Varazdat Karapetyan. Participants of the Training were 7 members of the staff of Caritas Georgia Development and Volunteers’ Programs and 1 volunteer. Mrs. Eliko Apkhadze, Director of “Caritas Saratov”, was our guest-participant.
The participants unanimously declared that the Training exceeded their expectations as the presented methodologies are rather flexible and may be applied in a broader aspect – for different target groups and in different situations.
The knowledge gained through this Training will give an opportunity to Coordinators of Latin, Armenian and Assyrian-Chaldean Rites working in the project “Animation and Strengthening of Parish Social Ministries in Catholic Communities of Georgia” to conduct in their respective Parish
Communities working sessions on “Community needs Identification and Analysis” using the participatory methodologies, so that furthermore the Parish Caritas Group members (leaders and volunteers) together with Parish Priests could address Parish Community needs through volunteer-driven projects;
