What is program goal?
Caritas Georgia has been implementing medical projects in Georgia since 1994. The aim of these projects is to increase population’s access to medical services and to improve their quality of life. Projects are staffed with highly qualified personnel. With the aim of their professional development, continuous educational program is implemented by Georgian and foreign specialists. Within the framework of this program Caritas Georgia’s personnel have an opportunity to learn about current methods of medical treatment, rehabilitation and care, applied abroad and use these methods in Georgia.
Who do we serve?
Trough the program we support people, who due to their temporary or permanent physical or mental pathology have limited capacity to live independently; People with chronic illness and/or in the state of recovery; Socially unprotected population living in the villages. Under the program the following projects are implementing:
- Home Care in Tbilisi
- Home Care in West Georgia
- Medical-Rehabilitation Center
- Home Care and Medical Services in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region
Development of Nursing Education in Georgia
As of year 2012 Caritas Georgia’s Health Care Program implements educational program with the aim to support the development of nursing education. Establishment of training-methodological center is planned. This center will offer students education programs in the field of care.
