Caritas Georgia has lunched a new project for rural communities who are at risk of natural disasters

14813526_1264208156933188_1092860583_nCaritas Georgia together with Confederatia Caritas Romania (CCR) launches new project named “Resilient communities – Disaster preparedness as a first step to sustainable development”. The agreement was signed by Executive Director of CCR – Doina Crangasu and Director of Caritas Georgia – Anahit Mkhoyan.

The goal of the project is to make rural communities in Armenia and Georgia resilient to natural disasters caused by hydro-meteorological factors, climate changes and seismic hazards and to reduce the negative impact, these disasters impose on the human and economic development of these communities.

Confederatia Caritas Romania is funding the project implementation by Caritas Georgia with funds provided by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the budget for Official Development Assistance.
